About:
Olympic style Recurve , or Bare-bow/Longbow only. All equipment supplied.
Archery Youth Camp; all ages 10 and up- rising 5th grader
Concentrated course covering basics, and suitable for those who have never shot a bow,
or those with some previous experience.
Class covers: Eye Dominance, Archery safety rules, Warm-up exercises, Archery tackle sized to Archer
(all equipment supplied and taught using recurve equipment), Proper shooting techniques -"Basic Steps",
Grouping & consistency, scoring.
The focus is on "What happens at the shooting line, controls what happens at the target"
If focus and form are correct, the gold will follow.
What to Bring:

and anything else you feel is necessary.
Mandatory:
Waivers
Attendance first day
All safety gear and equipment will be provided.
(Bow, arrows, finger tab, arm guard, quiver)
Wear Light colored clothing

Mandatory:Student must be a USA Archery recreational member ($15), or higher,
prior to first day of class to participate.
Must bring membership card to first day of class.
First day of class is mandatory attendance.

timing, preparation, finger & string position, getting into "the moment" of the shot,
equipment reviews, Quadrant Training, and why brace height is important
