When are the Orientation sessions held?

How long does the session last?
Most weekend classes last approximately 2 hours including check in and gear up.

Students must arrive before start time to check in, turn in waivers, get geared up. If you have not pre printed the waivers, participants must arrive 15 minutes before the class time shown for the date reserved.
We may not be able to accommodate students that arrive after CHECK-IN time, as we must consider the safety and timeline of the other students.

Is there an age limit- who can attend?
Mixed classes, youth and adults, families.
All ages, 10 and up

I have a group of 5 or 8, or a party- Can we all sign up?
Larger groups can schedule a private orientation session. Call , or email.


What is covered?
This session is appropriate for those who have never shot a bow, or those with some previous experience that are seeking a refresher session.Class covers: Eye Dominance, Archery safety rules, Warm-up exercises, Archery tackle sized to Archer (all equipment supplied and is taught using recurve equipment.), Proper shooting techniques -"Basic  Steps", Grouping & consistency, key-word skills, standard range courtesy, Range Rules.

What should I bring?
All students must bring completed waivers to participate in class.
Arrive early if having printer problems!

Do I need my own gear?
No. All recurve equipment supplied. Indoor range fee included.We are a recurve/barebow club.
All Recurve equipment is provided for students use in follow up classes.
(Your own equipment may be used at a later session with coach approval)



Do I need to pre-register,  or can I drop in?

Some registrations taken in advance via online roster provided . A confirmation, with payocations for specifisment link, and further details about clothing & directions, etc will be sent to the e-mail address you provide.

After orientation?
Join the Saturday and Sunday "drop-in" classes by signing up on the weekly class registration links.
Links found in Wednesday email blasts sent to those that participated in the Orientation.

As a USA Archery Club, all participants joining in ongoing classes after completing Orientation, private classes, or camps, must be a current member of USA Archery. The minimum qualifying USA Archery membership is Recreational ($15 annual fee per student.)  Youth, Family or Lifetime options are available for those interested in upgrading to earn rank or participating in tournaments.
